Location
The new location is 930 Bonifant Street, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. There is some parking on the street (metered) and a lot next to the restaurant on Bonifant Street. Off of Wayne Avenue, one block from Bonifant Street, are several parking garages. Additionally, the Safeway next door has a parking garage whose entrance is on Fenton Street.
To get to the new Mandalay location:
From DC Take Georgia Avenue North. A few miles after entering Maryland, turn right onto Bonifant Street. The restaurant is on the right, before the Eco-foods store.
From Silver Spring and other points North Take Georgia Avenue South. Turn left onto Bonifant Street, the light after Wayne Avenue. Alternately, turn left onto Wayne Avenue and look for parking; or turn left onto Wayne Avenue and then take the first right at the light onto Fenton Street to get to the Safeway parking lot.
From College Park Take I-495 East towards Silver Spring/Northern Virginia. Take the Georgia Avenue (Rt. 97) exit towards Silver Spring. Turn onto Georgia Ave South. Follow the directions above from Silver Spring.
Via the Metro Take the Red line to Silver Spring. Exit towards the bus stop area. Walk up the steps towards the taxi stand, MARC train station, Ride-On buses, and parking garage. Walk down Bonifant Street. Be careful when crossing Georgia Avenue. Continue on Bonifant Street until you come to the restaurant. Its three to four blocks walking from the Metro station.
